Selous Game Reserve

The Selous is the worlds largest game reserve and is a vast and untamed frontier. Bisected by the mighty Rufiji River this wilderness makes up more than 5% of Tanzania total landmass and is an area larger than Denmark. Established by the legendary explorer, hunter and soldier Fredrik Courtnay Selous in the 1920s.

A place where few footprints cross the land; the wilderness remains unexplored. Boat safaris and foot safaris amongst the completely un habituated wildlife through riverine forests and thorny outcrops allow our guest the option of tp pitch an impromtu fly camp, and overnight under the stars in africas last great bastion of mother nature.

The Hadzabe
The Hadzabe are not a Bantu race like the other peoples of Tanzania, but have more in common with the San Bushmen found in the Kalahari Desert of southern Africa, nearly 2000 miles away.
