Ruaha National Park
Ruaha National Park is located right at he convergence of the different species of east and southern Africa. Along the banks of the Ruaha River teeming herds congregate during the dry season to risk a drink as predators look on.
During the rains the river is a raging torrent which brings spectacular foliage to riotous life. A large population of the enigmatic and endangered African Wild Dog roams the grassland and miombo forests of the park, as both greater and lesser Kudu ghost amongst the thorn thickets. Ruaha is a unspoiled and beautiful example of Africa as it once was, and is a must see addition to any southern circuit safari.
