Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro Conservation Area is often declared the 8th wonder of the world by its thousand of spellbound visitors every year. The worlds largest intact impact crater, and a UNESCO world heritage site, this spectacular landscape is home to some of the worlds earliest fossilized evidence of early hominids, some dating back more than 3.6 million years.
The crater is a natural eden, a biosphere which transistions from beaututiful yellow acacia forests to teeming wetlands to verdant green plains. Some spectacular vistas are available over the moonlit crater from certain of our affiliate lodges. It offers its pilgrims unprecedented access and interaction to africas most amazing wildlife species, everywhere one looks, there are details great and small, which astound and amaze.
Throughout the crater a rare opportunity to meet and learn from the only fulltime residents of the park, the Masai, the famous pastoralists who have co-existed in the crater alongside its animals for over 200 years. Cultural tours and escorted game walks are just some of the popular activities possible in the Conservation Area.
